Role Responsibilities:
- Conduct government property administration and accounting tasks to maintain a comprehensive inventory of materials, parts, supplies, and equipment, utilizing your expertise in property management practices.
- Ensure compliance with inventory control and distribution protocols, maintaining precise records of receipts and invoices to facilitate material and equipment management.
- Perform clerical and manual tasks in material handling, including receiving, storing, issuing, and delivering various items.
- Verify vendor deliveries against purchase orders for quality and quantity accuracy.
- Analyze procurement activities to establish effective inbound/outbound projections and resource scheduling, optimizing asset availability and storage capacity.
- Prepare government-required reports and represent the program during audits.
- Coordinate with subcontractors and vendors to ensure timely acceptance, shipping, and receipt of managed equipment and parts.
- Maintain inventory control of government and company materials, adhering to annual auditing procedures.
- Implement warehousing controls and processes to comply with government property regulations.
- Establish and maintain annual inventory procedures and audit processes to ensure complete property accountability.
- Oversee transactions and limit personnel access to sensitive areas to safeguard property accountability.
- Manage datacenter equipment sanitization and disposal processes.
- Track and report metrics related to inventories, ensuring sufficient levels to meet operational requirements.
- Utilize small hand tools and operate material handling equipment as necessary.
- Maintain a clean and organized warehouse or supply area.
- Prepare and manage related documentation.
- Participate in special projects as needed.
Qualifications:
- Extensive knowledge of inventory records, property management, and government reporting requirements.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interface with stakeholders.
- Able to coordinate with vendors for return merchandise authorization actions.
- Capable of reviewing complex inventory records and requirements, providing recommendations, and ensuring compliance.
- Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to manage complex tracking requirements accurately.
- Proficient in identifying issues and developing solutions to mitigate risks.
- Familiarity with MS Office and government logistics practices.
- Experience with inventory control systems is highly desirable.
- Valid Driver's License required.
- Ability to lift over 70 lbs and work from heights.
Education: Bachelor's Degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience: A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in logistics, traffic, or supply chain management.
