Position Summary:
The Logistics Coordinator will play a vital role in managing inventory and transportation logistics for various wholesalers. This position focuses on optimizing supply chain operations, reducing costs, and ensuring effective communication between wholesalers and transportation partners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct daily inventory assessments for wholesalers, ensuring optimal stock levels and utilizing push system technology for cost-effective solutions.
- Schedule and coordinate transportation for product shipments and returnable materials, collaborating with Transportation Process Experts to guarantee timely deliveries.
- Develop and maintain relationships with carriers to enhance operational efficiency, including direct loading and drop trailer programs.
- Analyze inbound and outbound logistics requirements to facilitate smooth product flow.
- Ensure safe inventory levels while maximizing cost efficiency and minimizing waste.
- Manage outbound shipping volumes to help wholesalers maintain appropriate inventory levels and optimize truck utilization.
- Identify opportunities to reduce reliance on high-cost transportation providers by analyzing supply patterns.
- Support service level agreements by synchronizing schedules and adjusting orders based on production variances.
- Coordinate logistics for planned and unplanned events, including product launches, recalls, and emergency situations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience in logistics, warehouse management, or transportation is preferred.
- Proficiency in MS Excel is required.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to thrive under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a dynamic environment.
- Exceptional attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
