Job Summary:

Ish Dining Services is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Dietary Manager/Food Service Director to oversee the daily operations of our kitchen. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, and directing the overall operations of the Dining Services department in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Food Safety and Quality Control: Inspect the Dietary Department daily to ensure that it is safe and sanitary, and conduct weekly inspections of storage areas to ensure proper temperatures, cleanliness, and order.
  • Menu Planning and Execution: Plan nutritionally balanced and therapeutic meals that reflect the likes and dislikes of residents, as well as Public Health regulations, and ensure timely service of meals.
  • Staff Supervision and Development: Direct and supervise all dietary functions and personnel, including hiring, orienting, training, counseling, disciplining, and terminating employees as needed.
  • Financial Management: Maintain cost records, work to meet budget guidelines, and monitor monthly expenditures.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with Federal and State rules and regulations regarding nursing home dietary requirements.

Requirements:

  • Education and Certification: Graduate of a culinary or nutritional program preferred, and CDM certified.
  • Experience: Prior food service experience in a long-term care setting, and prior supervisory experience preferred.
  • Skills: Strong leadership and communication skills, ability to maintain regular attendance, and ability to follow CMS mandate/guidelines for vaccination.
