The Northern Virginia Volleyball Association (NVVA) is a leading organization dedicated to providing exceptional volleyball training to over 2,500 athletes throughout Virginia. As the Financial Management Coordinator, you will be an integral part of a team that is essential to maintaining the smooth operation and financial soundness of our programs. Your role will involve ensuring that our extensive and ever-evolving programs are backed by effective financial strategies and management practices. This position requires a combination of financial expertise and a dedication to supporting the organizational objectives, which aim to deliver the finest volleyball training experiences and ensure our athletes and coaches have the necessary resources to thrive.

NVVA's dynamic environment presents challenges that require innovative solutions, particularly in the integration of new volleyball training methodologies and sports technologies. By keeping our operations efficient and current, you will directly contribute to the growth and success of our athletes and the overall advancement of volleyball in the region.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Expense Oversight: Manage and supervise all expense-related activities, ensuring accuracy and adherence to internal policies.
  • Budget Management: Oversee and track organizational budgets, providing detailed reports and forecasts to the Finance Director.
  • Financial Reporting: Generate comprehensive financial reports that outline the current financial status and future projections for the Finance Director and CEO.
  • Payroll Management: Administer payroll functions, ensuring precise alignment of hours worked with reported hours and promptly resolving discrepancies.
  • Bookkeeping Support: Assist the Finance Director with various bookkeeping responsibilities, including ledger maintenance, account reconciliation, and financial statement preparation.
  • Document Management: Maintain meticulous records of financial documents such as bills, invoices, and receipts to ensure timely and accurate filings.
  • Policy Development: Contribute to the creation and implementation of financial policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline.
  • At least [X years] of experience in financial management, payroll, and bookkeeping.
