About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Lead Design Manager to join our Rail Transit team at Parsons Corporation. In this role, you will lead our design team on large Design Build and Alternative Delivery Projects, working alongside our Contractor partners.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the design team to deliver rail transit systems and/or facilities for our clients, including Sound Transit, HART, TriMet, etc.
  • Perform project planning, define project goals, and devise methods to organize and deliver the engineering tasks necessary to accomplish the work.
  • Develop an in-depth knowledge of client objectives while implementing contract terms and corporate policies, and manage budgets and schedules to meet the financial goals of the project.
  • Lead the project execution to meet the customer's requirements and criteria.
Requirements
  • 4-year degree in Civil Engineering (or related)
  • At least 10+ years of related work experience
  • Registered Professional Engineer
  • Thorough knowledge of industry practices and regulations
  • Experience as Lead Design Manager on Design-Build and/or other Alternative Project Delivery projects is required
Preferred Qualifications
  • Incumbent must meet Parsons' project management certification requirements and possess a proven ability to perform in a management capacity
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills
  • Must be knowledgeable of current technology and how it can be effectively utilized on the project
