Your Daily Responsibilities

We are in search of a Quality Assurance Specialist to enhance the Quality Management for North America Gas Services. This role encompasses all quality-related activities and customer-defined tasks aimed at achieving quality objectives. The position involves quality planning, conducting audits and assessments, reporting, training, and performing root cause investigations during both outage and pre/post outage phases.

This position allows for regular collaboration with partners, focusing on contract compliance, project quality outcomes, nonconformance resolution and prevention, as well as ensuring customer satisfaction. Additionally, this role offers autonomy and opportunities for professional growth, requiring travel to supplier and customer locations during source release.

Your Impact on the Organization

Quality Management System: Develop and execute a quality strategy for outages in alignment with contractual obligations and quality governance; assist service operations in planning and achieving results; collaborate with district offices and other departments such as EHS, Procurement, and Projects.

Quality Planning: Create and oversee quality surveillance strategies, establish quality benchmarks based on outage scopes and requirements. Support the outage team in (a) training (b) customer outcomes (c) quality-related KPIs.

Quality Reporting: Communicate quality status, incidents, and root-cause analyses to stakeholders. Generate learning grams and share operational excellence insights with the service operations community. Develop lessons learned and continuous improvement initiatives to facilitate various workshops. Alert QM to any project-endangering situations.

Customer Integration: Develop and maintain processes to (a) analyze and monitor adherence to contractual and committed requirements (b) manage professional feedback to and from customers (c) handle complaints effectively.

Quality in Processes and Projects: Ensure the execution of the quality plan and quality gate processes through active participation in readiness checks and quality gate meetings. Assist in logging quality incidents and support the district in root cause investigations to address non-conformance and implement corrective actions.

Continuous Improvement: Initiate and coordinate continuous improvement actions following outages. Promote the sharing of best practices and feedback through continuous improvement workshops (lessons learned) and post-outage surveys.

Quality Qualifications: Identify qualification needs and initiate training for craft labor concerning quality program requirements and process awareness.

Audits and Assessments: Plan and execute audits, assessments, and reviews, and prepare audit reports. Ensure the effective implementation of improvement measures.

Qualifications Required

  • High School Diploma or equivalent experience; an Associate's or Bachelor's Degree is preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in one or more of the following areas: manufacturing/construction quality, field service quality, project quality management, or Quality Assurance.
  • Serve as an expert and assist the Project Manager by planning, supervising, ensuring, and reporting on relevant activities concerning failure prevention and effective processes.
  • Strong analytical, facilitation, and presentation skills, with a proven track record of utilizing root cause analysis tools. Ability to foster collaboration to achieve effective results.
  • Authority to intervene at any project stage in cases of non-conformance in processes and project outcomes.
