Job Description

Job Summary: Lockheed Martin is seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Engineer to join our team in the Sensors Integration & Test manufacturing center. As a Quality Assurance Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of our products and processes, and for identifying and implementing improvements to our quality management system.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and analyze documentation related to internal and external manufacturing processes to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Support integrated product teams in reviewing quality data on yields, rework, scrap, and nonconformances.
  • Analyze and resolve process issues, and lead corrective action meetings to identify trends and implement solutions.
  • Participate in material review boards and failure review boards, and apply preventative actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Perform assessments and audits on processes and procedures to ensure compliance with specifications, engineering drawings, procedures, and ISO-9001/AS9100 requirements.
  • Evaluate design assurance activities and implementation of production process methodology to prevent impacts to production and quality.
  • Interface with customers, suppliers, and program personnel to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Utilize lean initiatives to reduce waste and maintain continuous improvement.
  • Make final decisions on acceptability of products.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 2 years of professional experience.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a secret security clearance.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001/AS9100 standards and implementation of a Quality Management System.
  • Ability to interpret drawings and specifications for development of quality standards, methods, work instructions, and procedures for inspection and test.
  • Proficient skill level with Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
  • Effective communication skills - written, oral, listening, and technical writing.
  • Effective interpersonal skills, including team building and collaboration.
  • Demonstrated presentation skills.

Desired Skills:

  • STEM degree at bachelor's level or higher.
  • Experience processing material review boards and dispositioning non-conformances.
  • Experience doing root cause analysis and corrective action planning.
  • Knowledge/experience evaluating risk when establishing new processes, automated controls, and improvements.
  • Demonstrated understanding of audit techniques.
  • Knowledge of configuration management and control processes.
  • Experience implementing automated processes and robotic technologies.
  • Special process experience.
  • ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) and/or Certified Quality Improvement Associate (CQIA).
  • SAP application experience.
