Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute product deliveries along designated routes while performing related tasks to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Conduct inspections of vehicle equipment and supplies, including tires, lights, brakes, fuel, oil, and water, and request maintenance as necessary.
  • Prepare orders for timely delivery to customer locations, ensuring adherence to scheduled delivery windows.
  • Place delivered items in specified storage areas at each stop based on customer preferences.
  • Ensure the accuracy of delivered products, preventing damage during handling.
  • Promptly communicate any issues to the Transportation Supervisor via phone.
  • Utilize maps and follow both written and verbal geographic directions.
  • Manage multiple tasks efficiently, ensuring optimal use of time, equipment, and resources.
  • Adhere to BEK transportation policies and procedures to maintain compliance with safety regulations.
  • Follow traffic laws and transportation protocols diligently.
  • Stay informed of DOT regulations, food safety standards, and company policies.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and conduct in line with BEK standards.
  • Complete necessary administrative tasks and paperwork to support efficient transportation operations.
  • Review customer invoices to identify items for collection, distribution, and delivery.
  • Report any mechanical issues, delays, accidents, or traffic incidents to the base location as required.
  • Submit receipts and payments collected from customer deliveries.
  • Keep accurate records, including vehicle logs and billing statements, in accordance with BEK policies.

Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of Department of Transportation (DOT) and Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations is essential.
  • A minimum of 1 year of route driving experience is required.
  • DOT certification is mandatory.
  • A valid State Class A CDL license is required in the state of residence.
  • Ability to comprehend and enforce regulatory guidelines.
  • Familiarity with customer service principles and quality standards.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to learn new software applications.
  • Capability to perform repetitive lifting of up to 50 lbs.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are necessary.
  • Basic math skills are required.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills across various organizational levels.
  • Self-motivated and customer-focused approach.
  • Detail-oriented with strong prioritization and innovative problem-solving abilities.
