Northstar Behavioral Health Network is a team of professionals dedicated to serving individuals battling substance use disorders, specifically Opioid Use Disorder and Stimulant Use Disorder. We specialize in providing Intensive Residential Treatment Services (IRTS) and are seeking a skilled Licensed Behavioral Health Specialist to join our team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individual and group therapy, case management, and crisis intervention services that address the goals established on the treatment plan.
- Document services provided in a weekly note, individual note, and/or information note, adhering to Northstar Behavioral Health Network policies and procedures, as well as standards established by governing bodies.
- Document case activity notes and important information.
- Develop comprehensive treatment plans that meet the individual needs of clients, in accordance with Northstar Behavioral Health Network policies and procedures, and standards established by governing bodies.
- Complete and document assessments in accordance with Northstar Behavioral Health Network policies and procedures, and standards established by governing bodies.
- Participate in weekly case staffing meetings and supervision meetings.
- Provide progress reports to court, Department of Corrections, and other referral sources as requested.
- Collaborate with outside agencies to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Exhibit knowledge of core competencies in relation to working with co-occurring disorders through continuing education and implementing skills into all aspects of treatment.
- Complete other tasks as assigned by supervisor.
Requirements:
- Valid LADC licensure in the state of MN
- 1+ years of addiction counseling experience
- Comprehensive understanding of all MN Statutes related to providing services for the population Northstar Behavioral Health Network serves
- CPR Certification or attainment within 30 days of employment
- Must pass a State of Minnesota Background Check
- Valid Driver's License with an acceptable driving record
- Strong computer skills, including knowledge of MS Office and Google Suite programs
- Familiarity with medication for opioid use disorder Model (preferred)
- Specialty training such as DBT-SUD, CBT, MI, etc. (preferred)
- Familiarity with Procentive, Electronic Health Record System (preferred)
