Job Summary:

Northstar Behavioral Health Network is a team of professionals dedicated to serving individuals battling substance use disorders, including Opioid Use Disorder and Stimulant Use Disorder. We also specialize in Intensive Residential Treatment Services (IRTS).

As a Licensed Practical Nurse, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care, working collaboratively with the healthcare team to ensure effective communication and coordination of care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize nursing knowledge and skills to implement basic preventive, therapeutic, and rehabilitative nursing care for assigned patients.
  • Perform delegated independent nursing functions using established procedures, policies, guidelines, and standards.
  • Administer medication accurately, observing client response and documenting in the medical record.
  • Maintain and coordinate communication among client, staff, and physician.
  • Assist in ensuring effective communication exists with patients, reflected in the plan of care, and provide punctual change of shift report.
  • Work collaboratively with other members of the healthcare team in coordination of patient care.
  • Answer and refer telephone calls or other inquiries to ensure accurate and timely communications are facilitated.
  • Meet the requirements of a valid LPN licensure in the state of MN, comprehensive understanding of all MN Statutes related to providing services for the population NBHN serves, CPR/First Aid Certification, and a valid Driver's License with an acceptable driving record.
  • Proficient computer skills, including knowledge in MS Office and Google Suite programs, and familiarity with Procentive, Electronic Health Record System (preferred).

Requirements:

  • Valid LPN licensure in the state of MN
  • Comprehensive understanding of all MN Statutes related to providing services for the population NBHN serves
  • CPR/First Aid Certification or attain within 30 days of employment
  • Must be able to pass a background check
  • Valid Driver's License with acceptable driving record
  • Proficient computer skills, including knowledge in MS Office, and Google Suite programs
  • Familiarity with Procentive, Electronic Health Record System (preferred)
