Job Summary

Carolina Asthma and Allergy Center Master is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Patient Services Specialist I to join our team. As a key member of our front office staff, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and administrative support to our patients and healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage patient check-in and check-out processes, including registration, updates, and verification of insurance information.
  • Verify vaccine reorders and run daily reports to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
  • Process patient payments, including co-pays and past due balances, and post charges in our electronic health record system.
  • Monitor patient waiting areas to ensure a positive and efficient experience.
  • Communicate with patients and healthcare team members to provide accurate and helpful information.
  • Perform administrative tasks, including opening and sorting mail, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • One year of experience in customer service or reception, preferably in a healthcare environment.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and organization services.
  • Ability to use multi-line phone system and standard office equipment.
Work Environment

This is a full-time position in a well-lighted office environment. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required.
