Key Responsibilities:
The Territory Sales Consultant is vital in assisting our retail partners in effectively marketing and managing their product offerings and retail environments. This role involves visiting various retail locations to ensure our products and displays are appealing and up-to-date. Building and maintaining strong relationships with store management is essential, as is identifying and communicating opportunities for improvement within each store.
Core Job Functions:
- Support the Sales Account Manager in executing sales strategies within the designated area by fostering relationships, understanding client needs, and surpassing expectations.
- Establish a systematic and precise service schedule by visiting multiple retail outlets, driving sales growth through effective marketing and expansion of existing product lines.
- Assist in the merchandising of new products and promotional initiatives for the assigned customer base, including participation in counter resets and merchandising activities as directed.
- Conduct thorough research and compile statistical data related to sales operations, policies, and programs.
- Organize, engage in, and present at meetings with customers and management.
Qualifications:
To excel in this position, candidates must successfully fulfill each essential job function. The qualifications outlined below represent the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities required for this role:
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in sales or merchandising, preferably within a retail context.
- Proven initiative, urgency, and commitment, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
- A valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities.
- Demonstrated ability to navigate conflict, build consensus, and facilitate collaboration in a team-oriented environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
This position primarily involves fieldwork, with limited office responsibilities. The successful candidate must be prepared to travel extensively within the designated territory.
