Position Summary: The Quality Manager plays a pivotal role in overseeing and directing production quality. This position involves strategic planning and resource management to align with the company's objectives. A strong understanding of Automotive Quality Standards, including IATF requirements, is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize problem-solving skills to address complex product and process quality challenges.
  • Leverage a robust manufacturing background in high-volume automated operations.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Contribute as a key member of the management team to achieve business goals.
  • Oversee QA support functions, ensuring accuracy and adherence to schedules, including calibration of gauges and equipment.
  • Drive efforts to minimize non-conformances and streamline quality processes.
  • Develop and implement strategies to boost quality and operational efficiency while managing costs.
  • Optimize material flow within the department through effective manpower and equipment utilization.
  • Establish and execute continuous improvement plans for equipment and departmental processes.
  • Manage departmental budgets to meet production goals and reduce costs associated with materials and supplies.
  • Foster collaborative relationships with departments such as Planning, Engineering, and Production.
  • Maintain effective communication through meetings and updates with team members.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, work rules, and applicable laws while addressing workplace challenges.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering is required; an advanced degree is preferred.
  • Certification such as ASQ CMQ/QE or equivalent is preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing within the automotive industry is highly desirable, with 8-10 years in quality management.
  • Proven expertise in Lean Manufacturing, Project Management, and ISO/TS16949 standards is preferred.
  • Strong multitasking and prioritization skills, along with excellent time management abilities.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to think critically and creatively under pressure.
  • Willingness to travel as required.
