Position Summary:
As a member of the Automatic Assembly, Set Up & Operate team, your primary role will involve configuring and managing assembly lines dedicated to Automotive Timing Chains and Components.
Your responsibilities will include executing changeovers, making necessary adjustments, and ensuring that all components adhere to established quality benchmarks. While the tasks of changeovers and adjustments demand accuracy, they are designed to be straightforward. You will be expected to follow specifications, timelines, and directives from supervisors and team leaders.
Core Responsibilities:
- Conduct routine preventive maintenance checks prior to each shift according to the established checklist.
- Execute thorough machine maintenance, including oil changes and other necessary upkeep.
- Diagnose and resolve issues with chain assembly equipment promptly.
- Comply with work standards while maintaining production timelines and quality control documentation.
- Prepare and evaluate samples for quality assurance purposes.
- Document production metrics and downtime using the prescribed forms.
- Ensure cleanliness and safety within the work environment.
- Report any operational faults or material defects to supervisory personnel.
- Collaborate effectively in a team-oriented, fast-paced setting.
- Utilize material handling equipment and demonstrate basic computer proficiency.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- A minimum of 2-5 years of experience in machine operation and maintenance.
- Strong focus on safety and quality assurance.
- Good mechanical skills and problem-solving capabilities.
