Indigo Real Estate is seeking a highly skilled Tax Credit Compliance Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our compliance department, you will be responsible for reviewing and processing certification paperwork for residents and applicants, ensuring compliance with Tax Credit and Section 8 programs.
Key Responsibilities- Review and process certification paperwork for residents and applicants, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.
- Communicate effectively with onsite team members, providing professional and timely support.
- Assist the Compliance Coordinator in resolving audit findings with third-party vendors.
- Identify and address areas of concern during compliance file reviews, working closely with the Compliance Director.
- Prepare and submit monthly compliance reports, including data entry and year-end reporting.
- Working knowledge of Section 42 tax credit (LIHTC) and Section 8 program regulations.
- Tax credit certifications (WSHFC Fundamental and/or Advanced certificate, HCCP, C3P, or other nationally recognized certification credential) or ability to obtain credentials within a reasonable timeframe.
- Directly related experience in property management of LIHTC investments is preferred.
- Knowledge of real estate terminology and concepts is beneficial.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to provide leadership and clarity in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to balance competing priorities and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, and knowledge of Yardi Voyager or similar property management software.
