Job Description

The Compliance Specialist role at Indigo Real Estate involves reviewing and processing certification paperwork for residents and applicants. This position requires a working knowledge of Tax Credit and Section 8 programs, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and process certification paperwork for residents and applicants.
  • Communicate daily with onsite team members in a professional manner.
  • Assist the Compliance Coordinator with third parties for resolution on audit findings.
  • Address areas of concern during compliance file reviews under the direction of the Compliance Director.
  • Process monthly compliance reports and year-end reporting.
Qualifications
  • Working knowledge of Section 42 tax credit (LIHTC) and Section 8 program.
  • Tax credit certifications (WSHFC Fundamental and/or Advanced certificate, HCCP, C3P or other nationally recognized certification credential) or ability to obtain credentials is a plus.
  • Directly related experience in property management of LIHTC investments is preferred.
  • Knowledge of real estate terminology and concepts preferred.
  • Outstanding organizational skills and communication skills.
  • Ability to balance competing priorities and tight deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and manage personal work calendar.
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Excel and knowledge of Yardi Voyager or similar property management software required.
