The position of Technical Operations Leader involves the strategic oversight and management of engineering initiatives to guarantee their successful execution. This role encompasses supervising the engineering workforce and administering the project finances. Furthermore, as an integral member of the site Management team, the Technical Operations Leader provides strategic direction and addresses departmental challenges.

Key Responsibilities

In this capacity, you will report directly to the General Manager and be accountable for:

  • Conducting research and developing innovative designs and products
  • Evaluating the need for training and professional development programs
  • Leading teams in recognizing opportunities for equipment improvements
  • Establishing and monitoring KPIs and metrics for the engineering division to ensure objectives are met
  • Recruiting contractors and forming project teams
  • Securing product support from senior management
  • Providing clear and effective guidance to engineering teams
  • Driving research and development efforts that yield new designs, products, and processes
  • Reviewing team outputs for technical accuracy
  • Coordinating tasks with other managers and personnel
  • Planning and executing strategies to ensure timely project delivery
  • Proposing and managing project budgets
