Job Summary

Helio Health is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Peer Specialist / Certified Recovery Peer Advocate (CRPA) to join our team. As a key member of our recovery support services, you will play a vital role in helping individuals in recovery regain independence and sustain their recovery journey.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Implement Recovery Plans: Collaborate with individuals to create personalized recovery plans, setting goals and objectives to achieve successful outcomes.
  • Link to Community Resources: Connect patients with social and support services in the community, promoting access to essential resources and services.
  • Crisis Support and Intervention: Provide non-clinical crisis support and intervention, helping individuals navigate challenging situations and develop coping strategies.
  • Education and Empowerment: Educate individuals and family members on various modes of recovery, promoting empowerment and self-advocacy.
  • Record Keeping and Reporting: Maintain accurate records and reports, ensuring compliance with organizational standards and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
  • Education and Certification: High school graduate or equivalent required; Certified Recovery Peer Advocate (CRPA) certification required within six months of hire and maintained throughout employment.
  • Experience and Skills: One year of health or human service experience preferred; ability to confer empathy through lived experiences or close relationships.
  • Driver's License: Valid NYS driver's license required.
