As part of our mission, we are expanding our presence in the Pacific Northwest, specifically in the Seattle and Portland regions. We are seeking a Civil Engineer, PM to lead multidisciplinary design teams focused on water and wastewater systems. This role is crucial for the Water/Wastewater Group within Tetra Tech's Infrastructure Division.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary liaison for municipal clients, managing projects of varying complexity while adhering to standard engineering practices.
  • Interpret engineering specifications and drawings, recommending design modifications and coordinating with the design team.
  • Lead planning and technical studies, as well as design projects.
  • Prepare detailed plans, specifications, cost estimates, and necessary permit applications.
  • Evaluate project alternatives, resolve technical challenges, and collaborate with other engineering disciplines.
  • Oversee construction management services.
  • Engage in marketing efforts to attract new clients.
  • Promote Tetra Tech's values through involvement in professional and community organizations.
  • Ensure all work is executed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with regulations.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field is essential.
  • A minimum of 12 years of progressive experience in the municipal engineering sector.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) License in Washington State and/or Oregon is mandatory, or the ability to obtain it within six months.
  • Valid Driver's License with a satisfactory driving record.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is preferred.
  • Experience in delivering technical and business presentations.
  • Proven ability to plan, scope, and coordinate large-scale projects with complex features.
  • Demonstrated success in preparing proposals and managing profitable client assignments.
  • Strong track record of delivering projects on time and within budget while exceeding client expectations.
  • Knowledge of industry trends and strategic planning processes.
  • This position may require occasional travel, approximately 15% or more.
Compensation:

Seattle Salary Range:

Project Manager: $130,000-$180,000, based on experience and portfolio.

Senior Project Manager: $160,000-$200,000, based on experience and portfolio.
