The successful candidate will lead multidisciplinary design teams focused on water and wastewater systems, including conveyance, pumping, and treatment projects. Typical municipal projects encompass collection systems, pump stations, storage facilities, and treatment plants.
Your Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary liaison for municipal clients, managing projects of varying complexity while adhering to standard engineering practices.
- Interpret specifications and drawings, recommend design modifications, and coordinate with the design team.
- Lead planning and technical studies as well as design projects.
- Prepare plans, specifications, cost estimates, and permit applications.
- Evaluate alternatives, resolve technical challenges, and collaborate with other engineering disciplines.
- Oversee construction management services.
- Engage in marketing efforts for existing and prospective clients.
- Promote Tetra Tech through involvement with professional and community organizations.
- Ensure safe, timely, cost-effective, and compliant execution of work.
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field is required.
- A minimum of 12 years of progressively responsible experience in the municipal engineering sector.
- Professional Engineer (PE) License in Washington State and/or Oregon is required, or the ability to obtain it within six months.
- Valid Driver's License with a satisfactory driving record.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is preferred.
- Experience in delivering technical and business presentations.
- Demonstrated ability to plan, scope, and coordinate large-scale projects with complex features.
- Proven success in preparing key proposals and executing profitable assignments for clients.
- Track record of managing projects effectively, delivering on time and within budget while exceeding client expectations.
- Familiarity with industry trends and strategic planning processes, with a history of translating these into effective tactics.
- This role may require occasional travel, approximately 15% or more.
PM: $130,000-$180,000, based on experience and portfolio.
SR PM: $160,000-$200,000, based on experience and portfolio.
