Job Summary

Hood Packaging Corporation is a leading manufacturer of packaging materials, committed to providing high-quality products and services to our customers. We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Technician to join our team in Wilmington, OH.

Key Responsibilities
  • Quality Control and Assurance: Perform material testing and process inspection to ensure compliance with established practices and procedures.
  • Sample Retention and Management: Obtain and maintain sample retains to support quality control and assurance efforts.
  • Quality Check and Testing: Conduct quality checks utilizing individual customer order specifications and accurately document test results.
  • COA/COC Testing: Perform COA/COC testing for requiring customers and maintain accurate records.
  • Returned Goods Inspection: Inspect returned goods and report findings to ensure quality and compliance.
  • QC Testing of Trial Orders: Conduct QC testing of trial orders to ensure quality and compliance.
  • Gage Calibration and Maintenance: Maintain gage calibrations, receipt, and issue new gages to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Communicate information both internally and externally as it relates to quality and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality and compliance.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: Associate's degree and 1-3 years' experience in the multi-wall bag industry or High School Diploma or GED and 3-5 years' experience in the multi-wall bag industry.
  • Skills and Abilities: Proficient in Microsoft Office, ability to communicate effectively, manage time, work independently, problem-solve, multi-task under pressure, and be organized.
