Job Summary: We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Human Resources Generalist to join our team at The Salvation Army Northwest Division. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing administrative support to the HR department, maintaining relationships with outside agencies, and recruiting volunteers to support our various programs and events.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain relationships with outside agencies, universities, and other recruitment sources
- Manage job postings, evaluate candidates, and prepare for and conduct interviews
- Organize and maintain hard copy/digital personnel records and HR files
- Conduct and track employee Orientation/Onboarding
- Provide administrative support to the HR department
- Assist with special events and volunteer stewardship
Requirements:
- AA in Business Administration or related field and/or three years of professional human resources experience
- Knowledge of Federal and State employment law, FLSA labor law, and HR policies and procedures
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite, to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain poise under pressure
