Job Summary

Pioneer Human Services is seeking a dedicated Supportive Housing Specialist to join our team. As a Supportive Housing Specialist, you will work with our Co-Occurring and Opiate Use Disorder programs and in surrounding community to provide client advocacy, support in obtaining community services, and recovery education and support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide client advocacy and support in obtaining community services, including healthcare, social services, resources, housing, and employment training.
  • Work with clients to develop and implement individualized goal plans to achieve maximum independence in community-integrated housing.
  • Collaborate with the Residential Services Division to ensure the provision of quality and cost-effective behavioral health services.
  • Transport clients to appointments as needed and maintain a valid driver's license.
Requirements
  • AA degree or BA/BS degree in a related field.
  • 2 years' experience working with individuals who experience behavioral health challenges.
  • Must obtain and maintain an Agency Affiliated Counselor credential.
  • Be a self-identified client of behavioral health services.
  • Successfully pass and maintain the state certified peer counselor examination.
Preferred Qualifications
  • BA/BS degree in a related field, such as human services, business administration, social work, public health, or criminal justice.
  • Experience working with state substance use residential treatment facility services.
  • Experience working with people from diverse cultures.
