Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician I to join our team at Federal Express Corporation. As a key member of our industrial maintenance team, you will be responsible for supporting the maintenance and repair of material handling systems, ensuring the efficient operation of our facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform basic preventative and predictive maintenance and repair of material handling systems, focusing on mechanical power transmission and electrical systems.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot simple mechanical power transmission issues, utilizing visual and auditory inspection techniques.
  • Adhere to all applicable safety standards and promote a safe work environment by attending safety meetings and required trainings.
  • Assist in the completion of preventative and corrective maintenance tasks, with guidance from experienced technicians.
  • Participate in smaller scope projects, developing skills in electrical and PLC/controls systems.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED required, with a minimum of two years of experience in a related field or completion of a certificate or degree program in Industrial Maintenance, Mechatronics, or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrated basic mechanical aptitude, with experience in agriculture, automotive, or other technical areas.
  • Ability to solve basic mechanical or electrical problems, with a basic understanding of engineering formulas.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical data and needs to peers, managers, and outside vendors.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with hand tools and power tools, with the ability to work in hot or cold temperatures.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and squat, with a strong focus on safety and ergonomics.
