Industrial Maintenance Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Technician to join our team at Qual Pac Kansas. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our equipment and facilities.
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine preventative maintenance on mechanical handling equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, and sweepers.
- Document records of maintenance, inspections, and repairs.
- Select repair parts and update parts records.
- Repair mechanical damage and replace defective parts, including welding, brazing, and soldering.
- Maintenance and repair of batteries and chargers.
- Apply mechanical skills and knowledge to troubleshooting and repair of electrical, plumbing, pipe fitting, fabrication, building construction, and other warehouse maintenance/repair situations.
- Reads and interprets schematics, drawings, and other diagnostic aids in the scope of troubleshooting, repair, and fabrication work.
- Reads and interprets equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
- Familiar with mechanical hand tools, and with measuring (tape measures, micrometers, drill gauges, etc.).
- Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines.
- Comply with OSHA Safety and Health regulations and maintain a clean and orderly work area.
- Minimum of a High School Diploma, 5 years equivalent experience.
- Basic computer skills including use of Microsoft Office.
- Experience with C.M.M.S. software (Preventive Maintenance/Work Order distribution systems).
- Understanding encoders and equipment timing.
- Knowledge of Servo drives and motors.
- Variable Frequency drive operation and configuration.
- Basic knowledge of logic software.
- Strong knowledge of how components interact with PLC's (photo eyes, proximity sensors, etc.).
- Some college is desirable.
- Fluent in Spanish, both written and verbal, is considered an asset.
