Job Summary

The Payroll Analyst is a key role within the Financial Operations team at Citigroup. This position is responsible for performing business analysis for HR and Payroll operations, creating and implementing internal procedures and business requirements, and developing and implementing user application test plans.

Responsibilities
  • Perform business analysis for HR and Payroll operations, identifying areas for process improvement and implementing changes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Create and implement internal procedures and business requirements, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
  • Develop and implement user application test plans, executing test plans and identifying discrepancies.
  • Resolve discrepancies with technical and/or business personnel, implementing corrective measures and retesting as needed.
  • Interpret data and make recommendations to improve business processes and operations.
  • Assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets.
Qualifications
  • 2-4 years relevant experience in financial operations or a related field.
  • Demonstrated understanding of how the team interacts with others in accomplishing the objectives of the area.
  • Specialty area knowledge in monitoring, assessing, analyzing and/or evaluating processes and data.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Microsoft Office Suite knowledge, with a strong proficiency in Excel.
  • Leadership mentality, with the ability to lead and motivate team members.
Education
  • Bachelor's/University degree or equivalent experience.
