Event Sales Director

Job Summary:

The Director of Event Sales will be responsible for developing and implementing sales strategies to drive revenue growth for catering events. This role will involve identifying and generating new catering clients through online research, personal sales calls, and site tours. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the hospitality industry and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

* Develop and implement sales strategies to drive revenue growth for catering events
* Identify and generate new catering clients through online research, personal sales calls, and site tours
* Prospect local non-profits and charities, local corporations and associations to increase private event revenue
* Sell merchandise and up-sell food and beverage related to catering events
* Report and work directly with General Manager & Director of Sales to write and implement quarterly sales and marketing game plans to achieve catering sales budget

Requirements:

* Five years of previous event sales experience preferred
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to speak clearly and listen attentively
* Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
* Effective problem-solving skills
* Ability to handle pressure with poise and finesse
* Positive attitude, outgoing and friendly personality
* Strong leadership skills and a professional image
