The Facilities Operations Manager will oversee all aspects of the Housekeeping and Laundry services of the facility by applying all the essential functions and responsibilities outlined below. The Director leads a team of 10-12 staff in the Housekeeping and Laundry departments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and Direct Maintenance Programs
  • Schedule preventive maintenance, repairs, and replacements
  • Inspect equipment/systems regularly for proper functioning and safety
  • Run errands, handle incoming and outgoing freight, and lift and move heavy furniture and equipment
  • Recruit, select, hire, evaluate, train, counsel, and supervise maintenance staff
  • Perform duties as a Maintenance Assistant as needed
  • Effectively manage and operate within budget
  • Exhibit excellent customer service and a positive attitude towards patients
  • Assist in the evacuation of patients
  • Demonstrate dependable, regular attendance
  • Concentrate and use reasoning skills and good judgment
  • Communicate and function productively on an interdisciplinary team
  • Sit, stand, bend, lift, push, pull, stoop, walk, reach, and move intermittently during working hours
  • Read, write, speak, and understand the English language
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of two (2) years' maintenance experience
  • Proven knowledge of various mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints
  • Knowledgeable of local building codes and ordinances
