Job Summary

ASM Global-Oklahoma City Convention Center is seeking a highly skilled Sales Manager to oversee and coordinate all aspects of the sales process for future convention, trade show, and corporate events. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales, marketing, and event management, with the ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

* Develop and implement sales strategies to solicit national, state, and local convention, tradeshow, and event business
* Meet and exceed sales projections, schedules, and timelines
* Coordinate promotional activities for event bookings, including participation in industry trade shows and sales missions
* Contact prospective user groups and individuals to initiate sales efforts
* Follow up on leads generated by outside sources
* Compile bid proposals, sales and revenue projection reports, and other relevant sales issues
* Prepare and deliver sales presentations to prospective clients and others
* Negotiate, compile, and execute sales contracts and agreements
* Conduct facility tours for prospective clients and discuss the facility with site selection committees or designated others

Requirements

* Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Event Management, Business Administration, or related field
* Two years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
* Strong knowledge of sales, marketing, and event management principles and practices
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Strong organizational and time management skills
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other standard office equipment
