About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Spiritual Care Coordinator to join our team at MJHS Hospice & Palliative Care. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide compassionate and personalized spiritual support to patients and their families.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate pastoral support services to patients and families, ensuring their spiritual needs are met.
  • Provide direct pastoral services, including counseling and spiritual guidance, to patients and families.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement spiritual care plans that address the unique needs of each patient.
  • Document clinical contacts and patient interactions, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Input clinical data into our MISYS database, ensuring seamless integration with our care teams.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college and a Divinity Degree.
  • Minimum of one year experience post-graduate in a healthcare setting.
  • Knowledge of and ability to perform Islamic End of Life ministry.
  • Excellent communication, listening, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work within an interdisciplinary team environment.
  • Valid New York State Driver's license preferred.
