Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and treat the medical needs of patients in our hospice and palliative care programs
- Perform preliminary assessments and consults to address the emotional, social, spiritual, and environmental needs of patients and their families
- Coordinate care to ensure patients receive necessary supplies, treatments, and interventions to alleviate physical, psychological, social, and spiritual pain
Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited medical college
- Completion of post-graduate internship and residency
- Doctor of medicine or osteopathy with current license to practice and prescribe scheduled drugs
- Minimum of two years of experience post-residency program with familiarity of hospice and palliative care
- Hospice and Palliative Care board certification required or obtained within one year of hire
