SoFi is on the lookout for a Senior Technical Program Manager to join our Cloud Solutions team. In this pivotal role, you will oversee essential cloud infrastructure initiatives that shape how SoFi delivers a dependable and resilient platform for our Members to manage their finances effectively.

**This role offers high visibility and significant influence. The ideal candidate will possess hands-on experience in leading large-scale cloud infrastructure initiatives. A strong understanding of cloud technologies is essential, as you will drive strategic direction while being deeply involved in the specifics necessary for productive discussions regarding scope and implementation. Familiarity with operational best practices is crucial to elevate our cloud infrastructure teams. You will be responsible for planning requirements, identifying risks, managing timelines, and communicating effectively with stakeholders.

The Technical Program Manager is accountable for the success of their designated programs. You will validate the strategy and objectives while taking ownership of execution. Your primary tool will be the program plan, which encompasses: objectives and goals, scope, timeline, roles and responsibilities, risks, mitigation strategies, and communication plans. A proficient TPM fosters organizational alignment through these tools. Utilizing program management, technical expertise, leadership, and communication skills, you will drive program success.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage critical programs within the Cloud Solutions division.
  • Collaborate with leadership across all levels of SoFi to ensure strong organizational and strategic alignment for cloud infrastructure initiatives.
  • Oversee programs and projects, defining, negotiating, and documenting milestones, success criteria, resource allocation, and ensuring timely delivery.
  • Utilize technical judgment while working with large, cross-functional teams.
  • Develop tools and processes aimed at enhancing software engineering productivity.
  • Communicate schedules, priorities, and status updates to all levels within the organization.
  • Minimize ambiguity and promote collaboration through clear written communication and documentation.
  • Create comprehensive program plans with well-defined assumptions, risks, and success criteria.
  • Apply situational leadership to various management scenarios, addressing conflicts and motivating teams.
  • Foster a productive work environment and guide team members in understanding project management methodologies.
  • Leverage technical knowledge to translate complex technical issues into actionable plans based on priority and impact.
  • Identify partnership opportunities to enhance program outcomes.
  • Report on program progress and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications:
  • A degree in Computer Science, a related STEM field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in program management with a proven track record of delivering technical projects.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to change and implement new processes and procedures.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, negotiation, and organizational skills, with experience delivering quality results under pressure.
  • Effective communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Demonstrated success in delivering large, cross-functional initiatives on time while managing competing priorities in a fast-paced and sometimes ambiguous environment.
  • Understanding of cloud infrastructure with the ability to independently identify issues.
  • Strong grasp of cloud infrastructure technologies.
  • Proven ability to execute in a distributed, remote work environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • PMP, CAPM, or Scrum certification is advantageous.
  • Demonstrated capability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities simultaneously.
  • Experience with tools such as Jira and Confluence.
  • Experience in a regulated industry, particularly in banking.
Compensation and Benefits:

The base pay range for this position is outlined below. The final base pay offer will be determined based on individual factors such as experience, skills, and location.

Pay range: $134,000 - $231,000.00

Payment frequency: Annual
