Position Overview:
As a Senior Program Manager specializing in Technical Operations, you will play a crucial role within the engineering division, serving as a vital link among various departments (Engineering, Product Management, User Experience, Documentation, Support, Sales, Legal, Security, Privacy, Developer Relations, etc.). Your primary responsibility will be to establish consistent processes and enhance execution efficiency.


Key Responsibilities:
- Lead teams through complex challenges, clarify issues, and outline requirements.
- Identify solutions, engage stakeholders, assess risks, manage limitations, and communicate progress.
- Oversee product launches, evaluate key performance indicators, and celebrate achievements.


In this role, you will be pivotal in steering strategic projects for the Monetization Engineering team within the Research and Development framework. As Databricks continues to innovate with new features and products, the Monetization Engineering team is tasked with facilitating revenue generation.

You will nurture and enhance partnerships with leading cloud service providers, laying the groundwork for an exceptional Databricks customer experience.


Your role will involve hands-on collaboration with engineering teams and cloud partners, leading large-scale initiatives to ensure the reliability, scalability, and security of Databricks solutions.


Additionally, you will strategically automate and refine daily operations and processes, playing a central role in establishing controls and standards across our infrastructure to achieve product stability and excellence in DevOps practices.


Qualifications:
- 7+ years of experience in technical program management.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, etc.).
- Proficient understanding of Cloud infrastructure, Big Data, and Artificial Intelligence.
- Demonstrated experience in program management, process optimization, and influencing the adoption of defined processes across various teams.
- Strong facilitation skills to prioritize tasks, manage trade-offs, identify risks, and drive accountability.
- Ability to handle conflicts and escalations effectively.
- Experience in project planning, execution, risk management, and clear communication with business stakeholders.
- Proven ability to operate independently across multiple teams and organizations.
- Familiarity with agile methodologies and project management tools such as Jira and spreadsheets.
- Experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or GCP).


Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced technical degree (Master's or equivalent).
- Experience leading DevOps initiatives and collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance development processes and system reliability.
- Background in incident management and root cause analysis.
- Experience in building cloud infrastructure and applications.
- Knowledge of SQL and dashboard creation.
