Human Resources Support Specialist

Position Overview:
The Human Resources Coordinator plays a vital role in supporting team members and the HR department with various administrative tasks and processes, particularly in recruiting, onboarding, and facilitating team member orientation.
Key Responsibilities:
As an HR Coordinator, your duties will include:
- Welcoming all visitors to the HR office and addressing inquiries from team members.
- Providing assistance and information to applicants, team members, and management as required.
- Helping team members navigate their benefits and ensuring adherence to customer service standards and policies.
- Coordinating Team Member Orientation sessions, which includes scheduling, room preparation, information delivery, and accurate attendance tracking.
- Reviewing new hire documentation for accuracy and completeness to comply with record-keeping standards.
- Assisting team members with online application processes when necessary.
- Conducting preliminary interviews to assess candidates' qualifications and referring suitable applicants to the relevant departments.
- Managing transfer request documentation by evaluating eligibility and answering questions about available positions.
- Supporting both internal and external job fairs.
- Facilitating new hire processing, including greeting new employees, processing applications, and issuing identification badges.
- Generating and modifying reports as needed, including executing software updates to maintain accurate team member records.
- Maintaining confidentiality regarding sensitive information related to team members and disciplinary matters.
- Monitoring office supplies and equipment, managing inventory, and placing orders to meet departmental needs.
- Handling special projects as assigned.
- Performing additional duties as directed by the Director of Human Resources.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Six to twelve months of experience in a related role.
- Exceptional customer service skills.
- Advanced computer proficiency.
- A collaborative team spirit.
- Experience managing special projects.
- Effective communication skills across all levels of the organization.
- Knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local employment laws.
- Strong organizational and planning abilities.
- General office experience is preferred.
- Familiarity with HRIS and applicant tracking systems is advantageous.
- Attention to detail in paperwork and documentation.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts as needed.
- Independence in managing diverse special projects.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Capability to prepare clear and concise administrative reports.
- Competence in reviewing resumes and applications to identify qualified candidates.
