Job Overview

Position Summary

The Program Manager plays a crucial role in establishing a secure and nurturing atmosphere that promotes communication, well-being, empowerment, and support for the individuals served by the program. This position entails comprehensive oversight of the site or work group, including all personnel within the designated area. The Program Manager will directly supervise Lead Staff and Direct Support Professionals (DSP) and serve as a role model for staff regarding job performance expectations, workplace attitude, and appropriate interactions with clients and colleagues. Key Responsibilities

Staff Management

  • Provide direct supervision to all personnel at the site.
  • Conduct regular meetings with each staff member to offer skill training and mentorship, addressing any identified areas for improvement.
  • Oversee site scheduling, including managing callouts, no-shows, and time-off requests to ensure adequate coverage.
  • Participate in the recruitment process by interviewing and recommending candidates for DSP positions.
  • Engage in all planning and team meetings related to each individual served.

Program Development

  • Effectively respond to crisis situations by notifying relevant parties and completing incident reports as necessary.
  • Immediately report any medical concerns to the appropriate leadership or agency nurse.
  • Plan and coordinate monthly activities for consumers, ensuring proper implementation and funding.
  • Manage day-to-day operations of units and sites in accordance with Individual Support Plans (ISP) or treatment protocols.

Administrative Duties

  • Monitor and reconcile all expenditures related to the site and consumers.
  • Ensure the maintenance and safety of the physical site and vehicles, reporting any required repairs to the Unit Director.
  • Oversee the timely completion of all necessary documentation, including logs, medication records, and incident reports, and communicate any issues to the Program Director.
  • Prepare the home for state licensing inspections, ensuring all consumer files and medication records are in order.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma required.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience working with adults with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD), Behavioral Health diagnoses, or in Drug and Alcohol Recovery Programs.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of relevant regulations, core values, and program policies and procedures.
  • Basic proficiency in computer and internet use, including email and data entry applications.
  • Valid Driver's License and personal vehicle with state-required liability insurance.
  • Subject to employment screenings, including FBI clearance if applicable.
