Aircraft Painter Weekend Shift

This is a contract position on a weekend shift schedule for an Aircraft Painter. The successful candidate will be responsible for painting and sealing aircraft and its sub-assemblies, including surface preparation, masking, and chemicals handling.
Key Responsibilities:- Prepare surfaces to be painted or sealed as requested by working instructions using abrasives, solvents, and brushes.
- Install masking for strips or other aircraft painting details.
- Perform sealant application, ensuring compliance with technical and quality requirements.
- Assist with application or installation of logos, symbols, or designs on painted surfaces, according to blueprint specifications, using measuring instruments, stencils, and patterns.
- Clean and maintain all currently used painting or sealing equipment.
- Set up ladders and scaffolding according to regulations and aircraft requirements.
- Ensure compliance with Federal and local environmental and OSHA/TOSHA regulations.
- High School or GED equivalent.
- Generally, 3+ years of related and recent experience in an aviation or automotive environment.
- Knowledge of preparation and painting of aircraft, support equipment, and allied components.
- Safety procedures for chemicals handling.
- Knowledge of blueprints and painting diagrams.
- Strong ability in paint spraying.
- Understanding of technical management and quality assurance procedures.
The successful candidate will be required to work in a safe professional manner, adhering to all regulatory requirements, including OSHA, EPA, State, and Federal regulations. As required by the position, the candidate must be able to wear a respirator as per OSHA 29 CFR "Respirator Protection" regulations with no restrictions that would prevent the proper use and/or seal of the respirator.
The job requires the ability to work flexible hours and different shifts if required. Employees will be subject to random drug and alcohol testing under FAA regulations.
