Aircraft Structures Technician Job Description

Are you a skilled aircraft maintenance professional looking for a challenging role? Do you have experience performing routine inspections and maintenance tasks on aircraft systems? We are seeking a qualified Aircraft Structures Technician to join our team at Aleron.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine inspections and maintenance tasks on aircraft systems, including hydraulic, pneumatic, and plumbing systems.
  • Determine when a component should be repaired or replaced, and decide on the necessary repair scheme and parts needed.
  • Repair, rework, and modify worn or defective assemblies, making alterations or changes as needed.
  • Follow approved maintenance procedures for subject components or systems, consulting internal procedures, OEM technical data, and work package instructions.
  • Consult with the Maintenance Lead if technical assistance is needed during the repair process.
  • Inspect completed work before signing off to identify any needed rework, and perform rework as necessary.
  • Perform serviceability tests on repaired components/systems using test equipment specified by the OEM.
  • Complete work package documentation by signing/stamping after finishing all designated operations.
  • Submit completed/in-progress work to the Maintenance Lead for review, and to Quality Assurance for final/in-progress inspection and re-certification of airworthiness.
  • Provide the supervisor with performance statistics and other operational data, as requested.
  • Properly account for time and materials used in all inspection and maintenance activities.
  • Comply with repair station procedures (RSM/QCM) and company policies (SOP) when performing aircraft or component maintenance.

What We Offer:

  • $25-$35 per hour (depending on experience)
  • Three Shifts Available:
    • 1st Shift: M-F, 7:00 AM-3:30 PM
    • 2nd Shift: M-F, 3:30 PM-12:00 AM
    • Weekend Shift: Fri-Sun, 7:00 AM-7:00 PM
  • Two weeks of extensive training and opportunity to cross-train in other departments

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Minimum of 4 years of aircraft structures technician or sheet metal technician experience
