Aircraft Painter Day Shift

This is a Monday - Friday day shift position based in Melbourne, FL. The Aircraft Painter is responsible for the painting and sealing process of aircraft and its sub-assemblies, including surface preparation, masking, and chemicals handling. The role may also involve limited duties of paint and sealant application.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare surfaces to be painted or sealed as requested by the working instructions using abrasives, solvents, and brushes.
Install masking for strips or other aircraft painting detail.
Mix, stir, and thin paint or other coatings, using spatula or power mixing equipment.
Perform spraying of base and top coatings, ensuring compliance with technical and quality requirements.
Perform sealant application, ensuring compliance with technical and quality requirements.
Apply or install logos, symbols, or designs on painted surfaces, according to blueprint specifications, using measuring instruments, stencils, and patterns.
Ensure the use of appropriate technical references and tools in performing paint and sealing duties.
Perform cleaning and maintenance of all currently used painting or sealing equipment.
Set up ladders and scaffolding according to regulations and aircraft requirements.
Ensure all Federal and local environmental and OSHA/TOSHA regulations are complied with.
Requirements:
High School or GED familiar.
3-5 or more years of experience in area of responsibility related to recent experience in aeronautical environment in a Painter's role.
Knowledge of preparation and painting of aircraft, support equipment, and allied components.
Safety procedures for Chemicals handling.
Knowledge of blueprints and painting diagrams.
Strong ability on paint spraying.
Understand technical management and quality assurance procedures.
Ability to work in a safe professional manner, adhering to all regulatory requirements, including OSHA, EPA, State, and Federal regulations.
Must be able to be certified and/or able to wear a respirator.

As required by the position, must have the ability to wear a respirator as per OSHA 29 CFR 'Respirator Protection' regulations with no restrictions that would prevent the proper use and/or seal of the respirator.
Ability to work flexible hours and different shifts if required.
Employees will be subject to the random drug and alcohol testing under FAA regulations.
