Job Title: Assembly Team Lead - Loadbanks

Job Summary:

Trystar Inc, a leading provider of power distribution equipment and related services, is seeking an experienced Assembly Team Lead to join our team. As a key member of our production department, you will be responsible for leading a team of production associates to execute production, improve and implement effective manufacturing processes, and drive a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and motivate individual and team development in the Production Department, quality performance, cost parameters, and service to internal and external customers.
  • Arrange and control daily team activities to ensure smooth workflow, quality production, and timely delivery.
  • Provide direction and improvement strategies for manufacturing, distribution, and supply chain processes.
  • Partner with the Supervisor in determining weekly schedules for employees, including authorizing overtime based on business needs.
  • Support Supervisor in tracking attendance and timecard accuracy of hourly associates.
  • Ensure compliance with quality, environmental, and safety regulations and standards.
  • Assist with inventory, packaging, shipping/receiving, and general facility maintenance as needed.
  • Project staffing for daily and future production needs in partnership with Supervisor.
  • Partner with Manufacturing Engineers and Supervisor to monitor machinery, processes, and work layouts to recommend improvements.
  • Support Supervisor in conducting safety and training programs.
  • Mentor hourly associates in work area and facilitate problem-solving.
  • Lead team to ensure Lean Principles and values are a way of life.
  • Ensure Standard work documentations are up to date and accurate.

Requirements:

  • Two years of experience working in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to work department shift hours and relevant overtime with the team.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds.
  • Computer literacy, including MS Word, Excel.
  • Must be able to read, write, and comprehend plant directives written in English.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • One year of leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Basic knowledge of MRP transactions (Epicor preferred).
  • Basic knowledge of electrical, mechanical assembly, and/or fabrication.
  • Associate degree preferred.
  • Good people skills with a proven ability in coaching and training employees.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Ability to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced/high growth work environment.
