The Supervisor of Environmental and Transport Services plays a vital role in supporting the hospital's mission by holding team members accountable for their performance and inspiring them to excel. This position promotes cultural diversity by ensuring the provision of quality, equitable, and culturally competent patient-centered care, while fostering an inclusive work environment that respects and embraces diversity.

Under the guidance of the Manager of Environmental Services, the Supervisor is responsible for maintaining housekeeping services to ensure a safe, sanitary, and clean environment for all patients, visitors, family members, and staff, while safeguarding the confidentiality of patient information.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Overseeing 30-45 staff members in daily EVS/Transport operations.
  • Upholding Department Service Standards.
  • Recruiting new personnel, including conducting interviews, selecting candidates, and onboarding new hires.
  • Identifying opportunities for process enhancements and implementing changes to boost productivity.
  • Managing departmental budgets.

Required Qualifications:

Education: High School diploma or equivalent

Experience: 4 years of experience in hospital support services AND at least 1 year in a leadership role

Preferred Qualifications:

Education: Associate's Degree or Bachelor's Degree

Experience: Leadership experience in Environmental Services (EVS) or Patient Transport
