About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Beverage Manager to lead our bars programming and bartending team at Blake Street Clubhouse. As a key member of our hospitality team, you will be responsible for promoting and growing our beverage offerings, hiring and training bartenders and baristas, and ensuring that members and guests receive exceptional drinks, food, and service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the business aspects of the bars, including liquor licenses, supplier contracts, inventory, and budgets.
  • Hire, onboard, and train front-of-house service staff, with a focus on comprehensive training for bartenders.
  • Create and manage staff schedules to ensure optimal coverage and service levels.
  • Supervise bars operations to maximize profitability, minimize liability, and conform to regulations.
  • Set and enforce quality and safety controls.
  • Research and develop drink recipes and programs to ensure a creative and attractive menu.
  • Ensure licenses are updated and in line with current legislation.
  • Provide exceptional service standards and guest satisfaction consistently.
  • Proactively address member inquiries, concerns, and feedback.
  • Collaborate with the beverage management team to create memorable experiences for members.
  • Maintain a welcoming and hospitable atmosphere in all front-of-house areas.
  • Interact frequently with members to gauge satisfaction levels and address any issues.
  • Manage the reservation software and coordinate front-of-house staffing and service logistics for events.
  • Collaborate to ensure seamless communication and execution between the service and events teams.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of the establishment's policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience in a beverage management role within the hospitality industry, preferably in a high-volume, full-service restaurant or clubhouse setting.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Passion for delivering outstanding customer service.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
  • Proficiency in reservation software and technology.
  • An eye for detail and a sense of aesthetics to create a pleasing ambiance.
  • Advanced math, reading, and computer skills.
Additional Considerations
  • This role requires a high level of energy, enthusiasm, and a commitment to excellence.
  • The Beverage Manager will work closely with both front-of-house and bar staff, fostering a collaborative and supportive environment.
  • A strong understanding of food and beverage service, as well as private event coordination, is essential.
  • Serve Safe certification is preferred.
