Service Manager Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Service Manager to manage our service department and handle customer service interactions, reports, and repairs. The ideal candidate will have successful supervisory experience in an industrial service setting, excellent communication skills, and experience with electronics and machinery equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide exceptional customer service and develop lasting customer relationships.
  • Manage the service team members and maintain a strong working knowledge of industry standards and practices.
  • Conduct inspections of battery/charger systems to identify problems and maintain customer's systems in proper condition.
  • Install battery/charger systems according to manufacturers' specifications.
  • Delegate and direct service tasks while monitoring progress.
  • Handle customer complaints or concerns quickly and professionally.
  • Assist with administrative tasks, such as tracking inventory and processing paperwork.
  • Evaluate site and equipment for appropriate billing status.
  • Maintain strong relationships with manufacturers, dealers, and sales representatives.
  • Train new employees in company procedures.
Requirements:
  • Excellent computer skills and verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to lift 100 pounds, climb stairs/ladder.
  • 2+ years of related industrial battery, electrical, and mechanical training/experience.
  • Valid driver's license and good driving record.
  • Willingness to work emergency call-outs, weekends, or holidays if needed.
