Glaucoma Research Foundation (GRF) is a national non-profit organization with a global impact dedicated to finding a cure for glaucoma. With over 45 years of experience, GRF has funded groundbreaking laboratory and clinical research that is changing the course of glaucoma treatment and care.
Our MissionWe are committed to advancing sight-saving research and providing essential educational resources for patients. Our goal is to secure a cure for glaucoma and improve the lives of those affected by this debilitating disease.
Our TeamOur team is led by President and CEO, Tom Brunner, who has a proven track record of success in the ophthalmic laser business. Our Executive Director of Development and Chief Operating Officer, Nancy Graydon, has over 13 years of experience in development and has orchestrated a remarkable revenue increase for GRF.
The OpportunityWe are seeking a Senior Development Executive to lead our major gifts fundraising efforts. This is a unique opportunity to join a dynamic team and make a meaningful impact in the fight against glaucoma.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the major gifts fundraising activities and design a comprehensive development program for the organization.
- Manage program budgets and supervise and motivate professional and support staff.
- Enhance the resources and opportunities available to GRF constituents by developing and implementing fundraising programs for major gifts and campaign giving.
- Facilitate charitable giving to meet the needs of donors and GRF by remaining current and proficient on technical and tax code matters affecting donors and charitable giving.
- Identify a stable pool of gift prospects for future giving by researching, cultivating, and soliciting prospective donors.
- At least seven years of increasingly responsible experience in nonprofit fundraising, with a demonstrated track record of closing 6-figure gifts.
- Working knowledge of high-level, sophisticated Development Office or similarly structured programs in an academic, hospital setting or similarly structured environment.
- Demonstrated skill in developing and implementing successful strategies for identifying, cultivating, and soliciting individuals, corporations, and foundations.
- Management and administrative skills to organize, direct, motivate, inspire, and evaluate other professionals and volunteers.
We offer a competitive salary range of $160,000 - $180,000, plus a generous benefits package, including 100% employer-paid health plan, a 5% 401k employer match, and generous time off.
This is a hybrid role, with the opportunity to work remotely from a home office with monthly travel into the GRF office. Alternatively, for local candidates, there is the opportunity to be in the office more frequently at their own discretion and at the agreement of the supervisor.
