Job Description

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Director of Supply Chain Solutions to join our team at BlackHawk Industrial Operating Co. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and administering company-wide inventory management programs to ensure high levels of product availability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inventory Management: Manage stocking parameters associated with forecasting and purchasing of inventory, ensuring that the company can provide high levels of product availability.
  • Process Improvement: Make recommendations to improve productivity, quality, and efficiency of operations, and drive process improvement projects.
  • Supply Chain Oversight: Oversee all processes relating to purchasing, order acknowledging, inventory planning, product life cycle management, dispositioning of slow/dead inventory, and compliance to import/export & hazmat regulations.
  • Collaboration: Work with sales to minimize obsolescence risks, and interact with customers (internal and external) to ensure that all requirements are being met.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that all import/export regulations are being followed in order to minimize compliance risks to the company.
  • Leadership: Act as a strong mentor to develop and prepare direct reports for additional responsibility.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor degree required.
  • Experience: 10 years in progressive leadership roles in supply chain, logistics, or inventory management roles required.
  • Skills: Excellent oral and written communication skills, proficient with required software programs, proficient at problems solving, proficient time management and organizational skills, and familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures.

Work Environment:

  • The employee is regularly required to speak and hear English, stand, walk, sit, use hand to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms. The employee is required to use computer and other equipment.
  • The employee frequently lifts and/or moves up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities include close vision and the ability to clearly focus vision.

Physical Demands:

  • The employee is required to wear wrist rests for keyboard and mouse pad.
