Banquet Sous Chef Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Banquet Sous Chef to join our team at Monarch Casino Black Hawk. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for overseeing the preparation and delivery of food for large-scale events and banquets.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with event planners and catering managers to create customized menus that meet the needs and expectations of our guests.
  • Lead a team of cooks and kitchen staff to ensure efficient and high-quality food preparation and presentation.
  • Develop and implement food safety and sanitation protocols to maintain a clean and healthy kitchen environment.
  • Work closely with the Executive Chef to plan and execute menu development, inventory management, and food cost control.
  • Ensure timely and accurate delivery of food to banquets and events, while maintaining a high level of quality and presentation.
Requirements:
  • 3+ years of experience as a Sous Chef in a high-volume banquet or catering environment.
  • Proven track record of success in menu planning, food preparation, and kitchen management.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation protocols, with the ability to maintain a clean and healthy kitchen environment.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of attention to detail and quality.
