Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Property Manager to join our team at Newmark Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day administration and implementation of policies, procedures, and programs to ensure a well-managed and well-maintained property.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate maintenance programs for the interior and exterior conditions and appearance of the assigned property
  • Respond promptly and positively to requests from property tenants, implement ongoing contact programs, and assess tenant needs to ensure problems are solved promptly and to the mutual benefit of the tenant and the property
  • Select contract services, negotiate vendor agreements, and monitor vendor performance to ensure compliance with established standards
  • Participate in the development and administration of the strategic property plan and budget for the property, and assist in the collection, analysis, and reporting of data required to provide accurate and current assessments of property management objectives
  • Administer all tenant leases to ensure full compliance with lease provisions, participate in the timely determination of escalations, collect rents, and lease available space within the buildings
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum of 2 years previous property/facilities management experience
  • Experience in and working knowledge of business/office administration
  • Ability to handle general administration of the property in the absence of the Property Manager, or when otherwise called upon
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills, with ability to produce communications and other materials that are effective and of a professional nature
  • Computer proficiency with strong knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and ability to learn new and business-specific software programs as needed
  • Valid real estate license in States that require it
Compensation

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $80,000 to $85,000 annually. The actual base salary will be determined on an individualized basis taking into account a wide range of factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, education, and, where applicable, licenses or certifications held.

In addition to base salary and a competitive benefits package, this position may be eligible for additional types of compensation including discretionary bonuses and other short- and long-term incentives.
