About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Restaurant Assistant Manager to join our team at T's Restaurant Group in Cranston. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for supporting the General Manager in the daily operations of the restaurant, including the selection, development, and performance management of front-of-house team members.

Key Responsibilities
  • Guest Service: Ensure that all guests feel welcome and receive responsive, friendly, and courteous service. Respond to complaints and take all necessary actions to turn dissatisfied guests into return guests.
  • Team Building: Promote a positive and team-centered approach to hospitality and culinary experiences. Create a culture of fairness and maintain healthy boundaries with team members. Provide coaching and training to team members on operational and procedural issues.
  • Operational Responsibilities: Ensure a safe working and guest environment. Manage shifts, including daily decision-making, scheduling, and operational planning. Investigate and resolve complaints concerning food quality and service.
  • Financial: Control cash and sales receipts in accordance with restaurant policies and procedures. Adhere to company standards and service levels to increase sales and minimize costs.
  • Food Safety: Enforce sanitary practices for food handling, general cleanliness, and specified maintenance. Ensure compliance with operational standards, company policies, federal/state/local laws, and ordinances.
Requirements
  • High School Degree required; college degree preferred in hotel/restaurant management.
  • A minimum of two years' restaurant experience.
  • Prior experience in restaurant management/supervision of staff a plus.
  • Proficient with Point-of-Sale Systems and other guest service technology platforms.
  • Required Certification in Serve Safe Alcohol and First Aid.
  • Flexibility in schedule and the ability to work weekends are a must.
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States.
  • Must agree to background check.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in the English Language.
