Job Summary:

SEACORP is seeking experienced Fire Control Technicians to join our team as Systems Engineers in Newport, RI. As a Systems Engineer, you will provide system design, integration, and test, as well as operational support for 3rd Party Targeting, BYG-1 Combat Control System, and the Tomahawk Weapon System on all submarine classes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with customer program leads to review system designs and provide recommendations for implementation based on operational experience
  • Identify, investigate, and analyze software and hardware failures to determine root causes
  • Provide lab test support evaluating new system capabilities and troubleshooting problems
  • Identify temporary workarounds for problems while long-term solutions are analyzed
  • Identify operational risks associated with all reported failures
  • Write clear and concise problem reports
  • Attend meetings as applicable and provide necessary verbal communication

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering discipline
  • 6 years of related experience, specifically working with submarine combat systems
  • Global Command and Control System - Maritime (GCCS-M) and Radiant Valkyrie Lite (RVL) experience a plus
  • Active Secret Security Clearance
