Position Summary:
We are in search of talented Combat Systems/Weapons/Platform Systems Engineer/Technician candidates to provide specialized support to the Naval Undersea Warfare Center (NUWC). This role involves engaging in various engineering activities that are critical to the advancement of naval capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Design and implement system enhancements and modernization efforts to address evolving Navy requirements.
2. Conduct thorough analyses and develop Engineering Change Instructions and Proposals.
3. Evaluate installation and system specifications to optimize equipment layout.
4. Perform gap, fault, and performance analyses, presenting findings to stakeholders.
5. Engage in modeling, simulation, and prototyping for both existing and new systems.
6. Recommend process improvements for current systems and operational workflows.
7. Troubleshoot and propose solutions for maintenance and upgrades of Non-Propulsion Submarine/Ship systems, focusing on Combat Systems and associated Weapons.
8. Conduct rigorous testing and evaluations to ensure compliance with system requirements, interoperability, and reliability standards.
9. Develop comprehensive reports detailing analyses, testing outcomes, and problem-solving investigations.
10. Collaborate with the engineering team to support upgrades to weapon systems and assess technical data related to modernization activities.

Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree in an Engineering Discipline (Electrical, Mechanical, Systems, etc.) is preferred; candidates with significant experience in relevant fields will also be considered.
- Demonstrated experience with DoD and Navy Non-Propulsion Electronic-Mechanical Systems, particularly in Combat Control and Weapons systems.
- Proficiency in engineering functions related to design, troubleshooting, analysis, and testing of complex systems.
- Strong ability to work independently and collaboratively with diverse teams.
- Proficient in MS Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, as well as Adobe Acrobat and MATLAB.
- U.S. Citizenship and eligibility for a Department of Defense secret security clearance are required.

Preferred Experience:
- Familiarity with AN/BYG-1, SWFTS architecture, and associated Combat Control Systems.
- Knowledge of Navy/DoD acquisition processes and Submarine operational documentation.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and effectively interface with technical personnel and management.
