Job Details

This is an exciting opportunity for experienced technicians to work on cutting-edge specialized technologies in the HVAC industry. As a Commercial HVAC Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for servicing all products and equipment on assigned projects and ensuring customer satisfaction. You will also be working on retrofit and repair of environmental-comfort systems, utilizing knowledge of air conditioning theory, pipe fitting, and mechanical layouts in the Virginia market.

About You
You must have excellent technical skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team. You should be physically fit and able to lift and move up to 50 pounds, occasionally lifting and moving more than 75 pounds with assistance.

Your Responsibilities
- Represents Havtech LLC by serving as a direct customer contact.
- Project a positive, friendly, and professional image on behalf of the organization.
- Responsible for servicing all products and equipment on assigned projects and ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Use a variety of hand-tools, following blueprints or engineering specifications, to diagnose and repair units.
- Identifies, analyzes, diagnoses, and repairs systems and products at customer's location.
- Performs preventative maintenance, site surveys, replacement, and modifications as needed or requested by customers.
- Prepares for on-site installation and repairs by examining building layout, anticipating difficulties, gathering materials and coordinating on-site work, as necessary.
- Inspects vehicles by checking vehicle condition.
- Maintains equipment by inspecting for signs of wear. Notifies customer and/or Project Manager of findings.
- Legibly documents work by completing paperwork on each job and maintaining files.
- Provides re-training and follow-up training at customer site.
- Determines parts to order for repairs and timeliness of need.
- Records parts, material, labor, subs, and other cost data per assignment and returns unused resources.
- Turns in all required paperwork and reports daily.
- Keeps current on all ACES Manufacturer's products concerning installation, operation, maintenance, service, and repair.

Requirements
- Valid Driver's License. Clean driving record.
- EPA Certification.
- HVAC Journeyman license in Virginia required.
- Additional license; Boiler Operator, Gas Installer, etc. preferred.
- Applicant must be a current member or be able to successfully join UA Local 10.
